What is an Upgrade Item in Genshin Impact?
Upgrade items are special items that can help certain Pokemon to evolve. They are obtained by spinning Pokestop photo discs, and sometimes as rewards during events related to evolution.
They can be put into weapons, armor trinkets, weapons, or gathering tools to provide additional effects or stats. Some upgrades also have the appearance of a certain cosmetic when they are used.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor and trinkets to give a bonus or an extra effect while the equipment is utilized. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, earned as rewards, or crafted or dropped. Upgrade components must be of a higher level than the item they are being added to, and most require that the item be equipped with an upgrade slot to accept them. Upgrade components can be replaced with other upgrade components, excluding for inscriptions and glyphs that are only able to be removed or added.
Infusions, gems, and enrichments are among the most common upgrade components. Gems can be added to any type of equipment and provide a smaller bonus than other upgrade components. Infusions and enrichments are specific upgrade components that can only be added to ascended gear that is not an ampulet and other legendary equipment. They can be recovered from the equipment they are located in by using an Upgrade Extractor Device, or by salvaging them using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or Ascended Salvage tool.
Other upgrade items such as inscriptions or glyphs can only be removed or added to gather tools. They can provide a range of bonus effects such as increasing the gather speed or adding more materials. Inscriptions can also modify the name of an item, for example changing a sword to be called "Fiery Sword" when you add a Sword Pommel of Fortitude inscription, or by adding an Rune of Minor Vigor suffix to make it 'Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor'.
Glyphs
Glyphs represent a concept or idea through character symbols. For instance, a symbol could be an icon or an image of a flag or heart. These symbols can also be used to create a complete visual language. A glyph may also have a standard code that is used across fonts to identify it. This code is known as Unicode.
A glyph has a form that dictates which Primary Stats it can be added to, and which Secondary Stats it is able to add. Some glyphs will have both Secondary and Primary Stat bonuses, whereas others have only one or the other. The glyphs that have both Primary and secondary stats will add to the stats of the whole unit, whereas the ones with just one Primary Stat bonus will increase the stats.
Using glyphs is very easy. Click and hold the text insertion point to open the Glyphs panel, and then select the glyph you want to insert. View All Glyphs lets you view an entire list of glyphs. The glyphs are listed in the order of their Unicode code, and you can select the one you'd like to add by clicking it.
When you create an entirely new glyph set it is saved along with other InDesign preferences in the form of a file that is shared. The glyphs aren't tied to any document and can be edited by clicking Edit Glyphs Set from the Glyphs Panel menu. You can also specify if the glyphs should be remembered by their fonts if you insert them into text.
Rare glyphs are crucial for your build and you should begin farming them as soon as possible. They are found in World Tier 3 Dungeons as well as Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides. They are more accessible than the rare shards that you can get by crafting items and provide a better upgrade for your gear. They can be utilized on a variety of items, allowing you to boost the damage and defence of your equipment without spending too many shards.
Rerolling

Rerolling is a popular practice in Genshin Impact, as it allows players to increase their chances of getting the best weapons and characters. The process involves creating a brand new account, and claiming pre-registration or launch rewards. This gives players another chance to win random items. However, this isn't completely risk-free.
The game offers a range of upgrade items that can boost the performance of an entire unit. These include armor, weapon and ring upgrades. Upgrades increase the power of armors and weapons while ring upgrades improve the health of a character's overall. Players can also purchase Corkian amplifiers, which can enhance the effectiveness of the upgrade item.
In addition to these upgrades, players can also reroll any equipped items. Rerolling an item equipped resets the item's base power, number of upgrades and chooses random substats. This is beneficial if the item's fully-upgraded power is lower than what you want or if a player wishes to alter its substats.
To reroll item upgrades must first open its upgrade component. To do this, press the box icon to open the item's window on the main screen. The player may then select up to six items to be used for "recycling". The item will be upgraded using a random rarity component, level and stat.
The player must pay an additional cost once the item is rerolled. The cost will increase based on the rarity and level of the upgrade component. The player then has to repeat the process to unlock additional upgrades.
It is important to test the patch locally prior to submitting it. This will help you identify any conflicts that need to be resolved. If the patch does not have any conflicts, then it can be merged into the upstream branch. The patch is then added to an issue. It is also useful to make a clear distinction that will make it easy for other developers check the patch.
